MEMBERSHIP

Membership of Dansk Selskab for Adipositasforskning (DASO) can be obtained by anyone who supports the society’s purpose.

Membership of DASO simultaneously requires membership of the umbrella organization Organisationen af Lægevidenskabelige Selskaber (LVS).

Fees for the two societies (DASO and LVS) are collected together once annually in May via Lægeforeningen.

LVS:

Ordinary member          250,-

Non-medical member     150,-

Pensioner                      Free

DASO:

Ordinary member         250,-

Student*                      Free

70 years and above     350,-

*Students include medical, nursing, professional bachelor students, etc., but not PhD students.

APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP

Application for membership of DASO is done via Lægeforeningen’s website – Minside (laeger.dk).

If you do not already have an existing membership profile with the Danish Medical Association, you must first create a profile. See the guide [Vejledning – indmeldelse i fagligt selskab fra Min side] for instructions on how to register and how to create a profile. Please note that the guide is currently only available in Danish.

It is important that the application form clearly states whether you are a doctor, non-doctor, or pensioner, and whether you are a student (this does not include postgraduate students, including PhD students). To indicate this, you can use the field “Titel” and possibly the field “Begrundelse” if you need to add supplementary information.

WITHDRAWAL

Withdrawal from DASO is done via Lægeforeningen’s website – Minside (laeger.dk) under the menu “Mit medlemskab” and the submenus “Videnskabelige selskaber” or “Meld dig ud.” Follow the instructions on the website.
